Karen Kopins Shaw is a former actress and model who was born in Ridgefield, Connecticut on October 10, 1961. After graduating from Marymount College, she moved to California to pursue an acting career and made her feature film debut in 1985 with Fast Forward. She also starred in Once Bitten, Creator, and Jake Speed, and had a role in the 11th season of Dallas. She guest-starred on various TV shows until her retirement from acting in 1994. Outside of acting, she was crowned Miss Connecticut 1977, had 250 commercials, and numerous print ads. She is also a crusader against Lyme disease and currently lives in Redding with her husband and four children.
